It was founded in 2014 by a consortium of private equity investors that focus on providing property, asset management and development management services as well as real estate investments. Brightbridge has successfully invested in real estate developments in Europe, the United Kingdom and Africa. Currently, its strategy is focused on real estate investments in Central & Eastern Europe through its investment in Atterbury Europe Holding B.V.

The team has recently successfully completed a luxury residential development in Nicosia as well as the expansion of the Mall of Cyprus and the re-development of the Mall of Engomi.
Mall of Cyprus expansion
The Mall of Cyprus is the dominating mall and leading retail destination in the heart of Nicosia, the capital city of Cyprus. The mall forms part of the Shacolas Emporium Park mixed used precinct with a total retail area offering of 55 000m² (GLA) and includes the capital’s largest shopping centre, Mall of Cyprus, a coveted stand-alone Ikea store and other free-standing retailer/commercial buildings.
Building on the success of the strongest mall in Cyprus, re-development, expansion and refurbishment were completed which provided the mall with a new fresh look and feel – bringing many exciting new tenants to the area.

Mall of Engomi re-development
Mall of Engomi is an extremely successful neighbourhood retail centre, located in a densely populated, popular residential area of Nicosia which is also home to various university faculties in Cyprus.
The re-development kicked off on 15 July 2020 and the process stretched over a period of 12 months in two internal phases while the mall remained operational. The mall was given an exciting new façade opening to the main street front reflecting a fresh, modern clean look. Internally, the existing retail space was reconfigured to create a new food court offering, stretching seamlessly from inside the mall to an external balcony overlooking the streetscape. Except for the two anchor shops, Sklavenitis and Superhome, the mall was re-developed for a whole new tenant mix, focused on the demands of the area, which mainly relates to a higher LSM customer and a very strong student environment. The project was divided into two stages, with the opening of phase 1 in April 2021 and phase 2 in July 2021 respectively.
